In the current market, foreclosed/REO owned properties can be an attractive value, but not always. Generally, the homes are in need of repair and in some cases major repairs. A home inspection is always suggested. Often times the Listing price represents a tremendous value and sometimes it\'s at or even above the current market value. Obviously, it is important to do a good market analysis to be sure that you are not overpaying. Additionally, with all the numerous banks, asset & REO managers, etc. many of whom have different criteria for what they are willing to accept on the properties as well as certain procedures that need to be followed before even submitting an offer to the Seller, it is a good idea to have a Buyer\'s Agent to assist you and help look out for your best interest in the transaction.
